Very much enjoyed this book wish Jon Krakauer would write another compilation like this It was both very harrowing and very amusing, plus I learned quite a lot What would make an experienced climber think it is a good idea to take a no doubt gazelle like hop over what looked like a narrow crevasse It was not narrow , or shallow, sadly I wondered what had become of the Burgess Twins Whatever rescuers are paid , it isn t enough And my goodness he describes Chamonix perfectly The hygiene information well don t read while you eat your lunch.Great read, please write another Many thanks.

I am fan of Krakauer and I particularly enjoyed his Into Thin Air Although this may lack the drama and immediacy of that he still gets to visit and meet some very interesting people, doing many creative and crazy things in some of the most dangerous and isolated parts of the world Always a reliable and agreeable voice on the great outdoors.
