This was an excellent read I m interested in F1 so I understood the background, but very interesting to read from an unusual perspective from a mechanic And so lucky he chose to start recording his monthly memoirs in what turned out to be such an eventful season.

After reading Machett s second book The Mechanic s Tale first, I was told this one was better I d disagree with that I found the full story of his life in F1 interesting than this tale of the 1994 season I still enjoyed this book, but telling the story of one season was in my eyes always going to be a little repetitive than the tales from a whole career, and I suspect there were some parts of Benetton s 1994 season where he probably couldn t go into much detail One for the hardcore F1 fan.

Well written, feels like you are part of a conversation rather than having a story told Draws you into the world of Formula 1, would appeal to both fans and anyone after a life story type read.
