Having worked on my game and my mind body connection with the author, Jayne Storey, I am a better player and enjoy my golf so much thanks to her Now I have a much less intrusive mind and play golf rather than spending those 4 hours in search for a swing modeThe book offers fully justified reasons why us golfers should step back and reflect on whether all that coaching in all of its forms and those many hours of practice have really raised our performance and level of enjoymentThe suggested solutions certainly work but require a big, brave step away from those typical, time wasting, practice habits and from our embedded, but largely ineffective, thoughts and perceptions as to how we are expected to go about improving the various ingredients of our game It means that we must devote our time in a very different way but it will lead to greater, intuitive use of our basic, fundamental movement skills rather than continuing our attempts to reproduce and join together all of the movements and positions that are supposed to add up to a correct swing In addition, the recommended practices also cover how to spend those 4 hours on the course in a better frame of mind both during the execution of shots and during that, often frustrating, time in betweenNow, when I am watching golf on TV I look closely at some of the top players and it is clear they are using these techniquesUnfortunately the reporters and commentators talk only about body positions and swing angles, it would be great for golf if they would invite Jayne to get involved as she could explain what is really going on during those exciting back nines like the recent US Masters and us golfers, and the game itself, would benefit from that understanding

You watched the 2019 Masters right and were in awe of the calmness and creativity of Tiger s winning performance. It must be his swing right, or his power.no what has always separated Tiger from the rest is the ability get out of his own way and let his skills and creativity take over when the heat is most intense Want to know the secret s of the ancient ritual s he learned many years ago and has used to great effect all his career.then read this book It explains the missing link like it has never been fully explained before Bookshelves are full of books on golf technique.however a revolution is on its way and this is the definitive work on this key link between the mind and body and performing to your best when it matters.

This book isn t much about golf which is the point The ideas in the book really appeal to me and have the potential to make real improvements in my golf and other areas of my life Oh, and the author really knows what she s writing about The book and the approach are not a panacea or a quick fix plenty of hard work to come

Very interesting book, possibly a little repetitive Yet to see real results but need meditation practice If you are thinking about buying this book be aware that you need to make a commitment to daily meditation practice but then you probably already know that if you are this far

Jayne Storey has served up a delight here Not only conceptualising effective breathing and its central role in the golf swing in particularbut also providing a clear practical roadmap in the journey to sporting and performance excellence generally.Whether you are a golfer or not the book will benefit you.The book adds substantially to Timothy Gallwey s books on the Inner Game tennis, golf, music. and nails them firmly to the principles of her martial arts experience and background The connection is solid, very well presented and shows how to reach a state of heightened awareness through a unified mind and body with the breath as the link.As a tennis coach I can thoroughly recommend this book to anyone wanting to get to the heart and soul of sporting excellenceletting the body do its thing naturally without mental interference Easy to read, no jargon, a must have book in your sporting library.

It seems, this book followed by some practice can be an absolute game changer if not a life changer Sounds too simple this breathing stuff, I know, but with just a little practice it really initiated a significant change in my attitudes and general look at life.Sounds miraculous but it somehow worked.
